Okay, it’s been a bloody long time, but I am back with a new blog post all about my current favourites. This was meant to go up in April, but here I am, a month later, writing it. I took a well needed break, and I feel much better.
Firstly, my absolute favourite thing is my Anastasia Beverly Hills x Nicole Guerriro Glowkit. Don’t ever let anybody tell you that ABH make up is overrated, because I promise you, it’s not.
I love a highlighter. I’m one of those people who packs it on to the extreme when I’m on a night out, or when I manage to wear a full face at the weekend, and using this new glowkit makes it even more fun. There’s six shades, and some of them I would not use on their own, but there is a white shade which helps to lighten any colours which aren’t quite for you if you’re pale like myself, or they even make a cracking eyeshadow. My favourite highlighter from all of them is “Glow Getter”.
Another current favourite of mine is a new foundation combo. As recommended my Holly Boon, mixing the L’Oréal True Match foundation with the L’Oréal Infallible is AMAZING. I don’t like too much of a matte finish, but I also struggle with dewy foundations because in recent years, my skin has become rather oily, so this is the perfect combo. But let me tell you this – you do not need a lot. A little goes a veryyyyyyyyy long way. If you try this combo please let me know in the comments because I’d love to know what you think!
Another L’Oréal combination I have loved for a good six or so months now, is the L’Oréal Volume Million Lashes – So Couture with the L’Oréal False Lash mascara. I am not blessed with great eyelashes, at all. They’re quite straight and they’re not particularly long, so I struggle with them a lot. I’ve always found it difficult to find a mascara that works well for me. Even the Benefit They’re Real! mascara doesn’t do that much for me, and everybody raves about it. This combination is amazing and it’s really transformed my eyelashes. I firstly curl my eyelashes with my Ted Baker eyelash curlers, and then apply the False Lash mascara first, followed by the Volume Million Lashes. If you, like me, suffer with rubbish eyelashes, this is something I definitely think you should try!
Now, I saw this book floating around Instagram a lot, appearing in flatlays and on a book shelf in the back of a shot. It was a book I had heard “every blogger needs”. I am obviously talking about #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso. This book is so motivational and quite frankly, the kick up the arse I needed. I do not want to write too much about it as I will be doing a review of it in another post, but for now just know that if you feel like everybody else has accomplished so much already and you’re lagging behind, or if you, like me, need a bit of a motivational shove, this is definitely a book for you.
Another make up related item is the Modern Renaissance eyeshadow pallette by ABH. I wasn’t sure that this was something I needed… I was wrong. Whether you’re looking for bright pinks or just a soft brown to run through your crease, this pallette has everything. I cannot express how pigmented the shadows are. A little really does go a long way and that’s what you want when you pay for a high end product. I was so sceptical about buying this but I’m so glad that I did.
One final favourite of mine came from Primark.
I’ve been looking for some sandals like these for ages! I love Buckle’s at the moment, and for £8 you definitely cannot complain!
