So, if you read my skincare routine post, you’d know I went through some issues with my skin which I never got until I turned 19. As soon as I hit 19 I seemed to be getting clusters of spots around my mouth and on my forehead, and the odd one or two on my cheeks.
I heard about Mario Badescu’s drying lotion and was willing to try anything to sort out my spots. I’ve always been someone who doesn’t mind wearing no make up, but it got to the point where I was ashamed of my skin and the state my face was in, so I read the reviews on Beauty Bay, which were amazing, so I bought it and paid for next day delivery so I could try it as soon as possible.
Part of the description of this product reads: “Suitable for all skin types, even those with the most sensitive of skin types, Drying Lotion provides immediate relief from break-outs and blemishes, making it a certified skincare must-have.” I thought that there was no way that this could have an “immediate” effect, however, I found that several people in the reviews said that they saw an instant change the next morning after they had slept with the product on, so I was most definitely intrigued to try it.
When the product arrived, I used it the same night. I did my usual skincare routine, then I put a cotton bud in the pink part of the lotion at the bottom, then applied to all of my spots/blemishes/scarring on my face, and went to sleep. The next morning I went straight to the bathroom mirror and I was honestly amazed. The smaller spots had almost disappeared, whilst the larger, more angry spots looked remarkably better. They had reduced in sized and my scarring looked less pigmented.
When using this product, it is important to get right to the bottom of the bottle and use the pink substance. I highly recommend a cotton bud to use this product as it reaches the bottom of the bottle and makes it easy to distribute the product.
I now use this product every time I feel like my skin needs it, it is not something I use every night. When spots appear, I apply the drying lotion directly on my spots after my skincare routine and sleep with the lotion on. The next morning I wash my face, then notice that “immediate” effect that is stated in the description.
If you are someone who suffers with spots or the odd breakout, I would highly recommend getting this product. It is well worth the money. You may think it isn’t suitable for your skin type, but it is suitable for all skin types and the reviews, as I said, are amazing.
You can get it for £14 on Beauty Bay and I can definitely say it is a staple for your skincare routine to help with breakouts. Someone once said Kylie Jenner also uses this, and, as much as that doesn’t bother me in the slightest because I am not a Kardashian fan particularly, that would make a lot of people swarm towards the product, I’m sure.
I can almost guarantee you will notice a difference in your skin if you invest!
Have you tried this product? What did you think of it? Be sure to let me know in the comments, I’d love to hear from you!
